Yunsik Kim

Yunsik Kim

PhD Student

Yunsik joined the PhD program in Fall 2024. His research focuses on developing spatial accessibility measurements, analyzing emerging urban transportation systems such as micromobility and on-demand microtransit, and addressing uncertainty in geospatial data science. His methodological expertise lies in geographic information science (GIScience), geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI), spatial statistics, and high-performance computing. His dissertation develops a spatial accessibility measurement framework using deep learning algorithms. The framework incorporates place-based and people-based perspectives and accounts for variation across space and time. Yunsik received a BA in Geography Education (2021) and a Master of Geography (2023) from Dongguk University, South Korea.
