Aleksandra Borisenko is an urban designer, planner, and architectural designer with 17 years of professional experience in urban design, placemaking, mixed-use development, housing, and sustainable urbanism. She has worked with municipalities, private developers, and institutional clients on projects ranging from placemaking initiatives, public realm design and mixed-use developments to comprehensive planning and citywide urban design initiatives. Her professional experience has been complemented by academic research in Spain and the Netherlands. In 2014, she co-founded CompleteBlocks.com, an initiative focused on demonstrating how simple, thoughtful interventions can create more vibrant and walkable public spaces.
