Dr. Jon Bohland

Jon’s teaching and interdisciplinary scholarly work encompasses human and urban geography, global politics, cultural geography, conflict transformation, and critical geopolitics across a range of undergraduate and graduate courses. He has published work exploring the intersection of politics, power, and culture in global sports—particularly soccer—as well as critical works on Southern identity and collective memory, popular geopolitics, and urban branding.
