Profile
My experience teaching geography began at the high school level, where I taught Advanced Placement and Honors Human Geography. When I made the move to higher education, I joined UNC Charlotte as an academic advisor and was fortunate to be able to continue my own graduate studies in geography.
Working with undergraduate students every day made me realize just how closely academic advising, student success, and geographic literacy relate to one another. That connection inspired me to jump back into teaching as an instructor, where I get to help first-year students of all majors build critical spatial perspectives on global issues. My overall goal is to help students succeed holistically, weaving together concepts/processes like globalization, sustainability, and spatial thinking into real-world applications.
