Professors Gang Chen and Colleen Hammelman Receive Education Abroad Curriculum Design Award

Professors Gang Chen and Colleen Hammelman have been selected as this year’s recipients of the UNC Charlotte Education Abroad Curriculum Design Award for their innovative summer program, Thailand: Lasting Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Landscape Change in Tropical Crop Cultivation.

This award recognizes faculty who demonstrate exceptional innovation in designing education abroad programs that seamlessly align with the UNC Charlotte curriculum. Honorees develop academically rigorous programs that support student progress toward graduation while delivering transformative international experiences.
