2012 Race, Ethnicity and Place Conference

Categories: News

Several of the department’s graduate students recently attended the 2012 Race, Ethnicity and Place Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Elizabeth Shockey; Claire Schuch; Paul McDaniel; Sara Gleave and Brisa Hernandez, current Ph.D. students in Geography and Urban Regional Analysis, were joined by PPOL Ph.D. student Silva Mathema and M.A. Geography graduate Ronnie Schumann as they presented their research to an interdisciplinary and international audience of race, place and ethnicity scholars. Kudos to these students not only for the high caliber of their posters and presentations, but also for their professionalism, leadership and visible level of engagement at the meetings.
