EEGS students and faculty attend Severe Local Storms Conference
Dr. Davenport and three of her graduate students (Ethan O’Neill, ESCI MS; Logan Twohey, GEOG PhD; Jasen Greco, GEOG PhD) attended and presented at the American Meteorological Society’s 31st Conference on Severe Local Storms in Virginia Beach. The group stayed busy presenting posters, giving talks, running sessions, and enjoying the surf and sand! Dr. Davenport also served as one of the organizers of the week-long conference. This year’s conference theme was “Supporting the Next Generation of Observations, Theory, and Practice,” providing an opportunity for scientists, forecasters, educators, and communicators engaged in all aspects of work related to hazardous deep convective weather phenomena to present and facilitate discussion of cutting-edge severe storms research.
