GES researchers featured in college magazine

Categories: News

Faculty and postdoctoral researchers from Geography and Earth Sciences were featured in the Fall 2017 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences quarterly magazine called “Exchange”. Professor Heather Smith and postdoctoral researcher Claire Schuch discussed how their work helps contextualize questions about immigration. Professors Sandra Clinton, Craig Allan, and David Vinson talked about water resources and the complexities associated with regulations. Professors Jack Scheff and Brian Magi talked about how global warming is important to their research, but also how and why this topic is discussed in the classroom. Collectively, the three articles featuring GES researchers are a solid example of how current, multi-faceted questions can and should be studied through the lens of geography.
