This week, many of our Geography and Earth Sciences students and faculty will be traveling to New Orleans, Louisiana to present their research at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Geographers (http://annualmeeting.aag.org/). The conference, held between April 10th and 14th, features more than 6,000 presentations, posters, workshops, and field trips by leading scholars, experts, and researchers working in the fields of Geography, GIScience, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability and related disciplines. The PhD in Geography program is delighted to support the attendance of doctoral students Abel Ayon, Michael Desjardins, Juan Geng, Adam Griffith, Yinan He, Alex Hohl, Paul Jung, Maryam Khabazi, Yu Lan, Claudio Owusu; Elina Sukaryavichute, Ari Whiteman, and Minrui Zheng. MA in Geography student Adam Miner will also be presenting his research as will undergraduate Geography minor student Taelor Malcolm. In addition, several of our programs’ alumni and faculty will be representing the department in their roles as research presenters, workshops participants, specialty group members/leaders and/or invited panelists.
