IXth Race, Ethnicity and Place conference
PhD in Geography students Jaeho Ko and Tonderai Mushipe joined Dr. Heather Smith and Dr. Paul McDaniel (UNCC PhD in Geography and Urban Regional Analysis graduate, 2013) at the IXth Race, Ethnicity and Place conference held in Austin, TX last week. In keeping with the conference theme of engaged scholarship and fostering civil and human rights, Tonderai presented findings from his study on undocumented immigrants, tuition rates and access to higher education and Jaeho presented his research on Korean migration and settlement in New Gateways. Kudos to both gentlemen who did an outstanding job representing the program and our department!
