GES Students and Faculty at AMS in Phoenix

In early January, students and faculty from Geography and Earth Sciences will be representing UNC Charlotte at the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Annual Meeting https://annual.ametsoc.org/index.cfm/2019/ in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference hosts over 4,000 attendees with applied and theoretical research related to atmospheric sciences, and includes both a Student Conference and the Full Conference. 20 students from our department will be there, including undergraduate Meteorology and Earth and Environmental Science majors Taylor Grace, Danielle Miller, Jacob Durham, Brandon Lawson, Trevor Lowe, Jan Ising, Najah Ullah, Frank McLean, Joshua Redwine, Gabrielle Keaton, Alavia Hooks, Holden Lecroy, Isabel Fajardo, Loren Williams, Corrine DeCiampa, Malik Williams, and Tiff Fortier, as well as Masters students Rachel Cucinotta and Eric Webb. Professors Davenport and Eastin will be hosting a graduate student recruiting table at the Student Conference, and also presenting research at the Full Conference.
