Geography Masters Students Selected as Student Assistants for the 2019 ESRI User Conference

Three GES students were selected as Student Assistants for this year’s 2019 ESRI User Conference held in San Diego California: Vani Singh, Zoey Zhang, Sam Holden. All three are new or continuing in the geography MA program. The students gained valuable networking opportunities and furthered their appreciation of the numerous applications of GIS. Vani reported back that she “learned so much about how interdisciplinary GIS is and the differences it has and will make across the world. Being able to network with so many professionals was really eye-opening and very enjoyable.” All three students were also able to meet and interact with ESRI CEO Jack Dangermond at the Young Professionals Networking event as part of the meeting.
